A little bit of history

Not many European cities can boast of having such a rich cultural history with a wealth of historical heritage and art.

Tuscany was first inhabited by the Etrusks who lost the control of the area to the Romans. However, it’s the Renaissance period which is the highlight of the Tuscan history. Writers such as Macchiavelli, Baccacio, Dante and Patrarca all originate from Tuscany.
Let us also not forget the many Tuscan painters who have dominated the art world for decades.

Since 2004, Val d’Orcia has been awarded the UNESCO World Heritage Status.

Italian Cuisine

Italian food is famous around the world for using only the freshest & highest quality ingredients. The variety of different Italian dishes is endless.

Whenever Tuscany comes to mind, picture small cities perched atop hills, surrounded by “vignoni” (vineyards) and cypress trees as far as the eye goes.

Last, but certainly not least, Italy is also famous for its high quality olive oil, which is totally justified.
Some of the best olive oils originate from Tuscany, of which certain bottled olive oils are among the highest rated.

Wines of Tuscany

Connoisseurs know that amidst the surrounding estates are nestled vineyards were you can indulge in tasting the best wines the Vale d’Orcia has to offer; Chianti, Brunello or Vino Nobile di Montepluciano. The Orcia DOC is a recognized denomination in Tuscany, acquiring their official designation on February 14, 2000.
Just thinking of it make one’s mouth water !
